"We first met Kieran in March 2021 when we were searching for a piece of land close to Cambridge where we could build our dream home. From the outset we were impressed with his professional yet laid back manner, and we fell in love with the 5,700 sqm piece of land in Maungakawa instantly with its west facing views - we were already imagining the amazing sunsets on the deck! We came with a plan already in mind for our new home, and we couldn’t believe that Resibuilt’s original plan was almost exactly what we wanted, so with just a few changes with the help of Native Bird Drafting, we were ready to build!
Building our home in the middle of 2 COVID outbreaks (Delta and Omicron) was no mean feat, but all the way along Kieran was ahead of the game, ordering materials well in advance of when they were needed. Unlike many others we know who were building at the same time as us, the process couldn’t have run more smoothly, and we were in our new home within six months of the foundations being laid in April 2022 - just in time for our joint birthdays, talk about a fabulous birthday gift! Kieran’s project management skills and attention to detail all the way through the project were very impressive, keeping us updated with comprehensive weekly updates. When there were important decisions to be made in order to meet deadlines along the way, Kieran kept us informed well in advance, assisting with the decision making process and giving us options to consider but without pushing a particular agenda.
The attention to detail Kieran showed throughout the build is evident in the quality of materials used, and we were also impressed with the work of all the subcontractors - from his own building crew right through to the plumber, electrician and painters. We have witnessed that he cares deeply about ensuring client needs are met, and where there were potential issues or changes that needed to be made, he was quick to raise these while offering solid options for solutions. His approach not only enabled us to keep moving forward with the build without delays, but also ensured we were happy with the outcome by having time and options to make the best decisions.
We have been in our new home for a week, and we couldn’t be happier. The handover process was very smooth, and both Kieran and Olivia made us feel incredibly valued as clients with our welcome gifts. There are still a few items to complete our home such as a pool and landscaping, and Kieran was quick to commit early on to helping us see our project through to full completion which we are very grateful for.
